Scottish Pathways to Construction - Fully Funded Training Academy Opened for Referrals!
Balfour Beatty has secured funding from the CITB Industry Impact Fund to launch a Construction Skills Training programme until October 2026. Partnering with Capital City Partnership (CCP), they will deliver 10 short-term academies across Scotland, tying into City Region Deal boundaries. The programme will support 100 individuals from diverse backgrounds, offering construction training, work placements, and post-course employability support if needed, focusing on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The first South East Scotland Construction Skills Academy will commence on 3rd February 2025, with applications and referrals opening on 2nd December 2024. Interviews will take place in mid-January 2025.

Eligibility
- We are committed to promoting Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) and actively encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
- The training is generally open to individuals aged 18 and over, although applicants aged 16+ may also be considered if deemed suitable.
- Please note that applicants must not currently be employed in the construction sector.
