Move On-Building Brighter Futures Fund Employability Programme
This is an 8 weeks employability course from Move On aimed at young people at stage 2 of the employability pipeline.
It will interest those looking for a career in construction or practical trades.
The course will provide young people with:
- Support and funding to achieve CSCS Green Labourers Card
- Completed REHIS qualification
- Construction site visits with Robertson, Cruden and CCG
- One week work placement with one of the above partners
- Bus/train travel covered for as well as lunch
- SQA employability award level 3
- SQA communication core skills
- Interview skills and CV building with Evolve IT
- Talk on drugs and alcohol with Crew2000
- Volunteering at Move On Wood Recycling
- Understanding children’s rights and the UNCRC
- Responsibilities of work
- Support to move on to further education, training or employment

Eligibility Criteria
- Participants must be 16-21 years old
- Live in City of Edinburgh, the Lothians or Borders.
- Be able to self-travel to our office in the center of Edinburgh.
- Be ready to work with other young people.

- The course begins on 11th of March 2025
- Move On provides reimbursement for train/bus travel and lunch money.
