Space Station (Space and Broomhouse Hub Training Academy)
Space Station is part of our Space Training Academy and is an entry level course to help support you into the food, catering and hospitality sector.
An 8 week training course on one afternoon per week in our Large Hall at Broomhouse Hub. Our training involves being stationed at your own table with your own equipment and mini cooker to learn how to prepare a range of different dishes safely and creatively, in a nurturing training space. These sessions also include an educational element about the basic skills needed when working in a professional kitchen.
We provide optional employability support throughout the course, including occasional group training and 1:1 support meeting.
We also support you to find a positive next step, which could be:
- An on-the-job training placement, either with Space Kitchen, our community café, or with an external organisation
