Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is Scotland’s national skills body. We contribute to Scotland’s sustainable economic growth by supporting people and businesses to develop and apply their skills. We work with our partners to provide services that deliver the very best outcomes for Scotland’s people, businesses and the economy.

Across Scotland, we support young people in school with an SDS careers adviser working with each state secondary school in Scotland. We help them build their career management, work-based learning and employability skills. We also support people of all ages once they have left school through our network of SDS centres and community venuues across the country.

My World of Work is Scotland’s career website(this will open in a new window) with tools, information and resources to support individuals make the right career decisions for them.

We work directly with employers across Scotland, providing trusted advice that helps employers invest in existing skills, develop new talent using equal and inclusive recruitment, and get the right products to grow their business.

The employer hub from SDS(this will open in a new window) can help businesses with workforce planning and development, understanding the skills needs and support with upskilling and reskilling.
