Rural & Urban Training Scheme (RUTS) - INSPIRE (RUTS )
RUTS are a vocational and employability training provider delivering activities, programmes and qualifications to young people aged 16-24 designed to support skills for work and skills for life.
These services are all available through the INSPIRE project.
These activities are delivered through a series of vocational and employability training
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
RUTS vocational programmes use the themes of motorbikes, bicycles and boxing/general fitness to engage young people. Through engagement, participants will complete a series of practical activities based on the chosen theme – with employability and personal development at the core of delivery. These services are mobile and can be delivered across Edinburgh.
EMPLOYABILITY TRAINING
RUTS also have a dedicated team of employability workers and progression coordinators delivering bespoke support from our office and workshop base in Newtongrange, Midlothian, or via an outreach service across Edinburgh. This team are also on hand to offer a wider support service for all participants engaged in any RUTS programme, supporting every participant’s ‘Journey to Success’.
