Planning Futures For Parents (Space and Broomhouse Hub Training Academy)
Planning Futures for Parents is aimed at providing training and support, to mainly ethnic minority parents located in South West Edinburgh get into, or closer towards, paid employment or those working part-time and looking to change career.
· Employability and personal development course
· Customer service and retail training
· 1-1 employability support to find an appropriate next step, and help to find specialised training/ services/volunteering such as ESOL, college places, Volunteer Centre, Vocational training etc.
· Women into business – Self-employment training
· Beginners Digital skills training
· Women’s Collective group (weekly social & skills development group for ethnic minority women)
· Weekly Parent Forum Group (Skills development and social group)
· Volunteering and work placement opportunities within Space and Broomhouse Hub cafe
Young Mums weekly group for mums 16yrs-30yrs delivered at Gate 55

Mainly working with Ethnic minority parents who are unemployed or working part-time looking to change career. Our service is promoted mainly in South West Edinburgh, although we do take parents Edinburgh-wide.
All training courses are free to join. Travel costs are covered where required and creche is also provided at Broomhouse Hub.
